As part of my exploration of abstracting the figure, I occasionally work with acrylics or cold wax using paper as a support. The cold wax and oil studies are done on artboard and then mounted on wooden panels. The acrylic images are mounted on foamcore with a wooden support. These studies are an opportunity to explore the use of additional tools, such as stencils, and often lead to developing larger paintings with the same gesture.
