PYRAMID SERIES
This series of paintings was made the year I turned 50, after realizing a trip to the Pyramids in Egypt  with a male friend, would not happen. Instead, I decided to paint the pyramids as a context for the conflict, and soon realized that what I was painting was the classic struggle between my own ego and my inner spirit. In the series I depicted the ego as male, while spirit took the form of a transluscent female. The process of integrating these two aspects of myself through my art prepared the way for meeting the outer bridegroom*.
